Ohio State head basketball coach Chris Holtmann announced on Monday that sophomore center Kaleb Wesson will be returning from his suspension just in time for the Big Ten Tournament this coming weekend in Chicago. The Buckeyes will be the No. 8 seed and will take on Indiana who is the No. 9 seed.
Now that Kaleb Wesson is back from suspension the Buckeyes are in dying need of a victory to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive. Most experts believe the Big Ten Tournament game against Indiana this Thursday is a NCAA Tournament elimination game. The last time the Buckeyes and Hoosiers played was February 10, 2019. The Buckeyes ended up winning 55-52. In the victory Kaleb Wesson only scored 10 points however his elder brother Andre Wesson led all scorers with 15.
The trajectory of both teams have gone in opposite directions since the last time they played. The Hoosiers have won five of their last seven games. As for the Buckeyes they have lost six of their last seven. The Big Ten Tournament has now arrived and it is win or go home for the Buckeyes. A win will boost their NCAA Tournament résumé. A loss will most likely mean the Buckeyes will play in the NIT.
